Days: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm Nights: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am Pay, Benefits and Perks of Certified Medication Technician (CMT) $3,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time qualifying candidates Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO+) added to your balance after 30 days of employment (full‑time only); immediately accrue more PTO as you work Earn PTO+ for every quarter of perfect attendance (full‑time only) 6 observed holidays + 1 floating holiday Up to $5,000 per calendar year in tuition/education reimbursement for an approved program of study Take home up to 75% of your net earned wages at the end of every shift 401(k) retirement plan with company‑matched contributions after 1 year of employment Medical (Tele‑doc included), dental, vision, life and other voluntary insurances for full‑time employees Have fun with contests and employee appreciation events every month Essential Functions of Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Perform resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort consistent with company clinical policies and procedures as well as state/federal guidelines and regulations Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with center policy Demonstrate knowledge of the "five rights" of medication administration Administer and record all medication given to residents based upon their specific chart Notify appropriate licensed staff when a resident complains of pain May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medications Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately, utilizing the computer system to enter and reference resident information as needed Answer resident call lights, anticipate resident’s needs and make rounds to assigned residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse or charge nurse on the shift Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift Perform all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health‑care errors Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality Administer PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with center policy Report and when appropriate, record any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications of Certified Medication Technician (CMT) High school diploma or general equivalency is preferred Must pass a state‑issued exam Required valid certification as a CMT in the state of Iowa Six months experience in a long‑term care environment is preferred Candidates must maintain a working e‑mail address and phone number for employer communication Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Additional languages preferred Basic computer knowledge EEO Statement Our facility provides equal employment opportunities.
