Purchasing Agent

North American Mechanical, Inc. (NAMI) is seeking a Purchasing Agent to work under the direction of the Purchasing/Distribution Manager to process & expedite purchase orders as well as perform other clerical duties in support of the purchasing function. Responsibilities Daily ordering of materials and equipment for Projects and Inventory in the time frame required, and issue purchase orders as needed. Track back-orders of materials. Maintain vendor relationships. Optimize total costs, including freight and purchase price. Actively communicate & collaborate with key stakeholders. Resolve discrepancies associated with responsible supplier transactions in a timely manner. Other projects & clerical type duties as assigned. Qualifications Good Customer Service and Relationship Skills. Self-motivated to be able to work on own and good problem solving skills. Computer Skills and Fluent in Outlook, MS Excel and Word. Bachelor degree in business, accounting, or related field a plus. 3 - 5 years of Purchasing experience a plus. Plumbing and HVAC product knowledge a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
