Be a part of a talented team and embark on an exciting journey.As a Service Technician, you will play a critical part in within the Service Department. You will be the face of the company with our clients, providing support and ensuring the AV systems installed are working at optimal performance. You will effectively and efficiently execute on AVDG service calls, attend to escalated client needs, assist with operational requirements, projects, and other duties and tasks.Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:Servicing and troubleshooting of commercial automation systems including distributed conference room video, audio, lighting, and shadesProvide training to clients on the use of AV systemsEngage in preventative maintenance visits to maintain client systemsPerform equipment delivery and associated responsibilitiesCarry out service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including, but are not limited to pulling cable, install connectors, projector mounting / hanging (ceiling mounts), TV installation/de-installationConduct field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron/Firmware, etc.) – upload, download, make code changes, and troubleshootingInterface directly with clients or client representatives to determine the issue(s) and effectively communicate resolutionProvide detailed reporting at the end of each service call for record- keepingAdditional duties as assigned.Founded in 1996, Audio Visual Design Group (AVDG) is a leading design-build firm specializing in next-generation AV design & integration, revolutionizing smart homes, smart enterprises, smart venues for clients across the United States. As AVDG is a part of the larger Guitar Center group, you will find opportunities to expand your career and to collaborate beyond Pro AV if you choose to.To join our band, you'll need the following experience:Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in the Commercial AV industry environment.Experience with Control systems (AMX, Crestron, Biamp, Q-Sys, Extron, Dante) is highly desirableAdvanced computer skills with ability to navigate around PC and Mac and possess deeper understanding of Windows/Mac OS applicationsFamiliarity with Apple IOS products (Apple TV, iPad, Airport Express, iPhone, IOS10, etc.) as they relate to daily use for interfacing with and controlling integrated networksSolid understanding of the pre-wire, trim, and final phases of a project, including proper use of all associated tools and job site safetyTravel Requirements:Travel may be required dependent on business needsWhy Guitar Center Company?
