Job Opportunity: Neurologist

The Department of Neurology at our organization is on the lookout for a full-time neurologist to join our team at MHealth Fairview, a collaboration between University of Minnesota Physicians and Fairview Health Services.

We are in search of a physician certified in neuromuscular medicine who possesses a strong academic orientation. This role will involve a significant commitment to leading neuromuscular clinical research within an established clinical and translational research framework.

We encourage applications from candidates with a background in neuromuscular research, particularly those with existing funding and expertise, including individuals holding MD PhD or MD MPH degrees.

• Provide outpatient neuromuscular services at the University campus and community clinics, including:
• Multidisciplinary disease-state focused clinics
• General neuromuscular clinic
• Electromyography (EMG)
• Participate in limited inpatient call coverage.
• Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Collaborate with basic scientists at the University on translational research initiatives.
• Lead clinical research and trials.

• Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program and Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.
• ABMS certification or eligibility for certification in Neuromuscular Medicine.
• Possession or ability to obtain a license from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
• Ability to secure and maintain DEA certification for Minnesota.
• Meet the necessary criteria for Credentialing and Privileges.
• Strong teaching and interpersonal skills.

This role is jointly employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. The total salary is competitive and aligned with AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical compensation, based on clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The salary range for this position is between $218,757 and $344,326, depending on experience, qualifications, and cFTE. The salary from the University will reflect the academic contributions of the individual hired.
