The position requires reading and interpreting technical documents, work instructions, engineering guidance, and blueprint specifications. Responsibilities include wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. The role may also train less experienced team members and support process improvement efforts to enhance quality, cost, and schedule performance.Essential Functions:Prior solder experience required in a manufacturing environment, J-STD certification a plusMust be able to use basic hand tools and fixturingMust use PPE appropriate to the use of chemicals and protection from other hazardsMust be able to lift at least 32 poundsAbility to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings and shop ordersCommunicates with operations team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and proceduresMust understand general manufacturing and repair processesIdentifies assembly process improvements to support e3 cost savings initiativesEnsure timely and accurate entry of data into SAP ERP systemQualifications:Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Experience in a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environmentJ-STD-001 solder and IPC-610 inspection certificationExperience in a Manufacturing environmentAerospace and Defense experience a plusProcess Improvement experienceCritical thinking and analyticsL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
