Description:

LD and Postpartum RN – Day Rotator

With 1 Night of Call and Every Other Weekend (EOW) | 36 or 48 Hours

Shift Information

• Rotate between 7:00am–7:30pm, 11:00am–11:30pm, and 7:00pm–7:30am
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Day Rotate position is primarily a day position with rotation to evenings and nights as needed
• Straight days cannot be offered

Unit Information

• Unit Name: Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Unit
• Unit Description: 25-Bed Labor & Delivery Unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 ANU rooms
• Bed Count: 5 LD Rooms, 12 PP, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Rooms, 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
• Average Daily Census: 15–25 mothers, babies, and labors
• EMR / Charting System: EPIC

Experience & Skills Required

• Years of Experience Required: 3 years minimum
• Skill Sets Required:

  • Newborn Care

Clinician-to-Patient Ratios

• L&D: 1:2–3 (Evaluations), 1:1 (Active Labor, Magnesium drip, or Epidural)
• Postpartum: 1:3–4

Certifications Required

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• BLS
• NRP
• EFM (every 2 years for L&D)

Additional Certifications (Preferred)

• AHA ACLS
