In this role, you will provide patient care and education in ambulatory and correctional health settings under the supervision of registered nurses and providers. You will utilize the nursing process to address patients’ physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs while assisting in identifying and managing predictable healthcare conditions. The LVN will play a key role in coordinating care across the healthcare team , ensuring patients understand their conditions and treatment plans within scope of practice. Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing Licensure/Certification: Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas Basic Life Support (BLS) from an AHA-approved program Additional certifications as required by the unit Experience: Minimum of 1 year LVN experience required Experience in specialty area preferred Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (heavy public contact) Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency Knowledge/Skills: Analytical skills Medical terminology PC proficiency Equipment Knowledge: Experience with IV pumps, vital signs monitors , and other clinical equipment Work Schedule: Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call Join Harris Health System and contribute to improving patient outcomes through quality care and infection prevention in a correctional health setting #J-18808-Ljbffr Harris Health
