Sous Chef Crowne Plaza Foster City is seeking a creative, team-oriented Sous Chef to help lead our culinary operation. This is an opportunity for a hands-on kitchen leader who enjoys hotel dining and banquets, develops people, and brings fresh ideas to the menu. What you’ll do Support the Culinary Team in leading daily kitchen operations across hotel dining and banquet service. Help create and implement appealing menus that meet guest expectations and business needs. Plan and execute banquet menus with consistency, quality, and attention to detail. Oversee food preparation, presentation, kitchen organization, and sanitation. Manage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships to support quality and cost control. Train, mentor, and motivate the culinary team. Partner with colleagues across the hotel to deliver a welcoming, memorable guest experience. What we’re looking for Previous culinary leadership experience; hotel experience is strongly preferred. Banquet experience and the ability to manage changing priorities in a busy kitchen. Experience creating and implementing menus.Strong purchasing skills and the ability to build productive vendor relationships. A collaborative leadership style, with a genuine interest in training and mentoring others. Creativity, organization, sound judgment, and pride in the quality of your work.
