This is a highly hands-on leadership role for an experienced designer who combines outstanding creative talent with modern creative technology and AI-powered workflows.You'll lead major product launches, branding initiatives, packaging development, marketing campaigns, video production, and digital experiences while mentoring the creative team and collaborating closely with Marketing, Product Development, Production, Compliance, Sales, and Customer Experience. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating exceptional work, embraces emerging technologies, and can balance creative innovation with execution, quality, and business objectives.What You’ll Do:Lead and mentor the internal creative team while remaining an active, hands-on designerLead the creative direction for product launches, marketing campaigns, packaging, merchandising, and digital experiencesDesign high-impact branding, packaging, digital marketing, web, print, trade show, and retail assets while creating scalable templates for the broader creative teamDevelop new brands, logos, packaging systems, and visual identities across Athena's portfolioPartner with Product Development, Production, and Compliance to bring packaging from concept through productionDirect video production for product launches, educational content, social media, podcasts, webinars, and commercial projectsDevelop storyboards, production plans, and oversee editing, motion graphics, and post-productionChampion AI-powered creative workflows to accelerate concept development, design exploration, image generation, animation, video editing, and content creationEvaluate and implement emerging creative technologies that improve efficiency while maintaining originality and brand qualityMaintain brand consistency across all customer touchpoints and provide creative direction and quality control for all deliverablesManage creative projects and priorities through Asana while collaborating across multiple departments to deliver projects on timeWhat We’re Looking For:Experience & Creative Expertise7-10+ years of professional graphic design and creative leadership experienceExceptional portfolio demonstrating branding, packaging, marketing campaigns, digital design, and video productionAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and modern creative technologiesExperience leading creative teams while remaining an active contributorStrong understanding of print production, packaging development, production workflows, and brand managementExcellent communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentAI & Creative TechnologyProfessional experience integrating AI into creative workflowsProficiency with tools such as ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly, Claude, Runway, Veo, Kling, ElevenLabs, Opus, Envato, or similar creative platformsAbility to evaluate and adopt emerging creative technologies that improve quality and efficiencyStrong understanding of balancing AI-assisted workflows with exceptional design standards and originalityNice to HaveExperience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), manufacturing, lifestyle, or retail brandsMotion graphics, animation, and advanced video production experienceExperience leading photography, art direction, and content productionExperience with website design, user experience, and prototyping in FigmaWhy Join Athena:This is an opportunity to shape the creative future of one of the fastest-growing brands in the industry.
