Emergency and Safety Specialist

The Role The Safety and Emergency Management Coordinator will lead the organization’s safety, emergency-preparedness, and life-safety programs. This individual will partner with leadership and teams throughout the organization to maintain a safe environment, strengthen emergency response capabilities, and ensure compliance with applicable standards. Develop and maintain safety policies, emergency plans, procedures, and employee training programs. Lead emergency-preparedness efforts, including risk assessments, drills, exercises, evacuation planning, and incident response. Monitor safety regulations, life-safety standards, and accreditation requirements while maintaining required documentation. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and coordinate appropriate corrective actions. Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, and local emergency-response organizations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, emergency management, public safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field required. 5-7 years of safety or emergency-management experience. Experience within a highly regulated or complex facility environment strongly preferred. Knowledge of life-safety standards, emergency preparedness, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment.
