Days and Hours - 25 hours per week-flexible

Position Goals

• Provide CTE Surgical Technology Program students with clear pathways into the CTE Program and guidance through completion.
• Provide intrusive classroom and laboratory support and advising.
• Provide intensive tutoring and retention support to students in CTE Surgical Technology Programs in order to:
• Increase course completion and student success
• Increase placement success
• Provide non-traditional career exposure and career placement support for the CTE Surgical Technology students.

Essential Functions

• Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds, demonstrating and promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Provide advisement to CT Surgical Technology Program Students
• Tutor CTE Surgical Technology Program students throughout the academic year.
• Provide tutoring support to Surgical Technology students during open laboratory session.
• Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
• Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related CTE Surgical Technology Program preferred.
• Certification in Surgical Technology (CST preferred).
• Experience in teaching, coaching, tutoring or mentoring preferred.
