About the Position

Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• CVOR experience is mandatory with a minimum of 2 travel assignments required - no exceptions
• Work in a 6-OR cardiovascular operating room environment
• Scrub role expertise required for all assigned cases
• All cases require 1 scrub and 1 circulator; pump cases also require a first assist/heart holder (RN or CST)
• Perform and assist with procedures including CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, and Circulatory Arrest
• First assist experience and proficiency preferred but not required
• On-call shifts will be assigned and rotated among staff
• May float to other units if needed, though this occurs infrequently
• Document using Cerner electronic health record system
• Operate Stryker equipment
• Hospital will provide scrubs; hospital surgical attire policy must be followed
• Required certifications: CST, BLS
• Unit support includes 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 PCA, and 1 Core Tech
