Work Authorization Auditor

Express Employment International is looking for a Work Authorization Auditor located at our Corporate Headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK 73162. In this pivotal role, you will audit Forms I‑9 and E‑Verify cases for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, identify errors or compliance risks, assist with corrective actions, and produce clear, actionable audit reports. The position supports the organization’s legal and regulatory obligations as a multi‑state employer and serves as a key contributor to ongoing work authorization compliance efforts. Employees are expected to work a four (4) day in‑office schedule with the flexibility to work remotely one (1) day each week, based on business and department needs. Responsibilities Conduct thorough audits of Form I-9 documents, verifying completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal regulations. Review E-Verify cases to ensure proper submission, resolution, and adherence to timelines and procedures. Identify and report errors, inconsistencies, or potential risks in work authorization documentation. Track and document audit results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to management teams. Stay current with changes in employment verification laws and regulations across multiple states. Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions and process improvements based on audit outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Work authorization or immigration law experience. Paralegal certification preferred. Electronic Form I-9 software experience. Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Working knowledge of Form I‑9 and E‑Verify requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify compliance risks. Ability to document findings clearly and produce professional audit reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems.
