Job Description

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from attorneys, practice groups, and firm administration, translating them into clear functional specifications, process maps, and user stories.
\n
• Evaluate and improve firm workflows across areas such as matter intake, conflicts checking, time entry, billing, and document management, finding opportunities for efficiency and automation.
\n
• Support the selection, implementation, and enhancement of legal technology platforms (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments, Aderant, Elite 3E, Intapp), coordinating testing, training, and user adoption.
\n
• Build reports and dashboards on key firm metrics such as utilization, realization, and matter profitability, and present findings and recommendations to firm leadership.

Requirements

\n
• 3+ years of business analysis experience, preferably within a law firm, corporate legal department, or professional services environment.
\n
• Familiarity with law firm operations and terminology, including the matter lifecycle, billing practices, and ethical and confidentiality obligations.
\n
• Proficiency in requirements documentation, process modeling, and data analysis tools (Visio, Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar), with experience in Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
\n
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys and senior partners. CBAP, CCBA, or similar certification is a plus.
