Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Athens, Texas. This role involves providing patient care in a medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, ensuring safety, comfort, and recovery for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with interdisciplinary support. Job Details Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Education Requirements: State or Compact license in hand at time of submittal, experience requirement: 0 years, 2 years of experience preferred Clinical Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Total joint replacement, Tracheostomy care/management, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Additional Requirements: Previous travel experience preferred, patient ratios of 1:5 during shift, charting system experience with Epic. Responsibilities include managing Ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, IV insertion, managing cardiac drips, and utilizing code teams effectively. Submission requires current state or Compact license and compliance with onboarding protocol, including core items/labs completion within 48 hours of contract signing. Float rotation may be required.
