Estimator / Drafter

Our Metals location based in  Hicksville   is seeking an  Estimator / Drafter .   In this role, candidates should have an outgoing personality, good communication skills and like to work with the general public. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to review plans/drawings, specifications in order to generate sheet metal take-offs
• Preparing computer-generated estimates for edge metal systems
• Estimating standing seam roofing systems, will train
• Preparing shop drawings and submittals documents
• Managing bids from contractors, follow up
• Work closely with Branch Manager

Qualifications:

• Must have a can do, customer service first attitude.
• A good memory to be able retain a working technical knowledge on vast amounts of building materials
• Proficient in creating technical drawings in Autodesk AutoCAD
• Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication or metal roofing is a plus
• Effective time management and multi-tasking skills

• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills

Wage Range: $25 - $35/hour plus additional benefits.   In compliance with applicable law, this range is a good faith estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
