Position Summary:

As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing commercial facilities and equipment. This hands-on position requires a versatile skill set and the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a variety of maintenance issues across multiple trades.

The ideal candidate has experience in general building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and repair work, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality service.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues
• Perform electrical repairs and preventive maintenance
• Complete plumbing repairs and maintenance tasks
• Service and maintain HVAC equipment and systems
• Perform general carpentry and building repairs as needed
• Provide handyman services, including minor repairs and installations
• Ensure facilities and equipment comply with all applicable safety standards and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests when required

Qualifications:

• Experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, construction, or a related field
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as required

Work Environment:

Facility Maintenance Technicians work in a variety of commercial settings, including office buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail locations, and other business environments. This role may require:

• Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Working at heights or in confined spaces
• Lifting and transporting tools, equipment, and materials
• On-call, evening, weekend, or emergency-response work as needed

Position Requirements:

• Education and Experience: 5 years of experience in facility maintenance and repair
• Skills: Good knowledge of safety regulations and standards, Strong mechanical and technical skills, Ability to use various tools and equipment, Good communication and interpersonal skills, Strong attention to detail, Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Drive Company truck to various job sites
• Parking spot for a commercial vehicle (not on the street)
