CNC Mill Programmer / Machinist - HAAS & Mastercam

Salary is based on CNC programming skills, Setup and Mastercam experience.

1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Are you an experienced CNC Mill Machinist who can program, set up, and run HAAS mills?

Force Manufacturing is looking for an experienced CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist with 5+ years of CNC milling experience and Mastercam skills.

You'll work on a variety of precision prototype and short-run jobs , rather than repetitive high-volume production. This is a hands-on position where you'll be involved in programming, setup, machining, inspection, and troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

• Program CNC mills using Mastercam
• Set up and operate HAAS CNC Mills
• Read blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T
• Select tooling, workholding, feeds and speeds
• Machine prototype and short-run precision parts
• Inspect finished and in-process parts
• Make program and offset adjustments
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years CNC milling experience preferred
• HAAS CNC Mill experience
• Mastercam programming experience
• Strong blueprint-reading skills
• Understanding of GD&T
• Ability to independently set up and run jobs
• Experience with precision measuring equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Dependable and able to work independently

Job Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate HAAS CNC Milling Machines
• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T
• Determine appropriate tooling, workholding, feeds, speeds, and machining processes
• Set up jobs and verify machine offsets
• Machine precision prototype and short-run production parts
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Make program and offset adjustments as necessary
• Troubleshoot tooling, programming, and machining problems
• Maintain required dimensional tolerances and quality standards
• Work independently while meeting production schedules
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Qualifications

• Experience with HAAS CNC Mills
• Experience programming with Mastercam
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC mills
• Strong blueprint-reading skills
• Working knowledge of GD&T
• Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and machining processes
• Experience with precision measuring equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot machining problems and make appropriate corrections
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Dependable and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Prototype and short-run machining experience
• Experience machining to tight tolerances
• Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC milling
• Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, steel, and other materials
• Fixture and workholding experience
• CAD/CAM experience
• Experience optimizing CNC programs and reducing cycle times
