RN PRN Pre-Admission Testing

Job Summary Pre Admission Testing RN PRN The Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) unit prepares surgical patients for upcoming procedures by ensuring they are clinically ready and well-informed prior to surgery. PAT nurses educate patients on their procedures, obtain comprehensive health histories, and secure necessary surgical consents. They also coordinate essential pre-operative services, including laboratory testing, radiology exams, and cardiac/EKG testing, to confirm patient readiness and safety for surgery. Responsibilities Perform ongoing assessment and reassessment of patient responses to interventions. Develop and implement individualized Plans of Care. Demonstrate proficiency in unit-specific clinical skills. Apply strong leadership and critical thinking abilities in daily practice. Qualifications Active Kentucky RN license. Current BCLS certification. Minimum of one year of clinical experience. One year of perioperative nursing experience is preferred.
