Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist Pediatrics (SLP PEDS) position located in the Oakland area. This role involves providing specialized speech therapy services to pediatric patients in an acute care setting, with a focus on assessment, treatment, and client education. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to deliver quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, from 10/05/2026 to 02/08/2027
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP; Education requirements: CA Speech Language Pathologist License in hand; Location: California; Experience: minimum 2 years, including at least 1 year of hospital experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Children's Hospital settings, Pediatric Outpatient, Pediatric Rehab Facilities, and PICU
• Additional Information:
  • Possibility of floating to different departments or units within the facility as needed
  • Experience with assessment tools such as CELF, PLS-4, Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale, and WAB
  • Skills required include assessment, augmentative communication, oral motor evaluation, modified barium swallow studies, documentation of therapy sessions, and client/family education
  • Modules are non-billable with durations ranging from 1 to 24 hours, completed pre-start and annually
  • Start date preference: Travelers with a Monday start date may start sooner if cleared, but not before the Wednesday prior to the original start date, with approval from the Project Manager
  • Must include employment history with any University of California medical facilities for rehire eligibility checks
  • Travel pairs are allowed but generally not on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
