Incredibly rewarding work Key Responsibilities: Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions tailored to each child's unique needs, including motor development, strength training, balance, coordination, and mobility enhancement. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and educators to ensure comprehensive care. Educate and support families and caregivers on home exercises, treatment goals, and long-term care strategies. Document patient progress, maintain detailed treatment records, and adjust therapy plans based on outcomes. Participate in team meetings, care planning sessions, and contribute to the development of best practices in pediatric therapy. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies. Qualifications: Education: Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure: Current Physical Therapist license in the state of NY. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred; new graduates with strong pediatric clinical experience are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with children of all abilities and backgrounds in a clinical or educational setting. Work Environment: Clinic-based, school-based, or in-home services depending on needs. Physical demands include lifting children, assisting with mobility, and being active during therapy sessions.
