Parts ShipperEnterprise, KS* / Salina, KSLand Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a Parts Shipper to join our 3rd Function Valve (3FV) team at our facility in Enterprise, KS* to receive, store, assemble, distribute, and route parts for our parts department.This position works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required.*This position will move to a facility in Salina, KS by the end of 2026.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for parts and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping station.Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.Insert items into containers.Nail covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.Convey materials and items from receiving or parts department areas to storage or to other designated areas.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Route items to departments.Operate tier lift truck or use handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Weigh or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.Use computer to enter records.Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.Drive vehicle to transport stored items from parts department to plant or to pick up items from several locations for receiving or shipment.Maintain inventory records.Monitor parts department tasks and recommends quality improvement initiatives to the parts department manager.Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.Other duties may be assigned that require additional qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.Preferred Skills and Qualifications:Working knowledge of MS Office and basic computer skillsAbility to safely operate a forklift, lift truck and other vehiclesAbility to read and comprehend instructions and documents such as safety rules and operating/maintenance/procedure manualsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work within a team environmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailExceptional time management and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGreat Plains Manufacturing, headquartered in Salina, KS, is a proud subsidiary of Kubota with more than 50 years as a Kansas leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of agricultural implements, including seeding, tillage, and landscaping equipment.
