Must have certification / endorsement. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching literature, writing, and language skills to middle school students. This individual will create a stimulating classroom environment, encourage student engagement and participation, and foster a love for reading and writing. Responsibilities Teach a diverse curriculum that includes literature, composition, grammar, and language usage while considering varied learning styles and needs. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students. Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff. Ensure regular and predictable attendance. Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities. Passion for literature and the ability to inspire students to develop their writing and analytical skills.
