Job Summary The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the multi‑disciplinary treatment team that provides direct care to behavioral health patients under the medical direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in person or telephonically. The primary focus is direct patient care as directed and delegated by the RN, Lead PCT, Operations Supervisor, Operations Administrator, or Program Manager. The PCT is also responsible for the safety of the unit they are assigned to, including identifying environmental and patient‑specific safety concerns and elevating those concerns to the RN, RN Manager, Operations Supervisor, or designee as needed. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as directed and delegated by supervising RN or other supervisors. Ensure unit safety by identifying environmental and patient‑specific safety concerns and escalating them to appropriate supervisors. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred. Minimum of 6 months of health‑care related experience providing exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations. Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred.
