Position Overview

Grand Health Care Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our dynamic healthcare team in Jacksonville, Florida. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our comfortable outpatient clinic, where a welcoming atmosphere is complemented by the latest therapeutic equipment and technologies. Our team is committed to maintaining a positive and efficient work environment, ensuring that every patient receives personalized attention during their rehabilitation journey. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional adjustments to accommodate patient schedules and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the delivery of individualized treatment plans that enhance patient mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at promoting recovery and pain management.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, proper body mechanics, and home exercise regimens to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, ensuring all activities comply with clinical protocols under therapist supervision.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion and functional abilities.
• Prepare treatment areas before sessions, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are organized and available.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to enhance overall patient care.
• Foster a supportive environment by providing emotional encouragement and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Uphold the highest ethical standards by maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights and privacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, or age-related conditions. Your compassionate approach and tailored treatment strategies will make a significant difference in their recovery and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to assist in executing therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach, emphasizing the desire to help individuals recover and achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities, essential for tracking patient progress and maintaining clinic operations.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a PTA in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for tracking patient data and treatment progress.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment is a plus, allowing for effective collaboration across therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 65,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
