Contracts Manager

Our client, a privately owned commercial services and security organization, is seeking a highly skilled professional to support their legal team in ensuring their contract management system is streamlined and operational. This role is based in NYC and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, edit, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to address legal issues related to agreements.
• Maintain and manage the company's contract management system, Ironclad, ensuring its efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain contract workflows to facilitate efficient and transparent reviews across departments.
• Interpret and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards, insurance requirements, and company guidelines.
• Create and maintain standard contract templates and clause libraries, including fallback and alternative language options.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, HR, Finance, and Risk Management teams.
• Oversee the management of the company's contract repository.
• Assist with lease agreements, corporate registrations, and other corporate requirements.
• Coordinate aspects of legal operations in collaboration with General Counsel.
• Support broader legal and compliance initiatives as needed.
• Develop and deliver training related to contract review, negotiation, and enforcement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in contract administration and contract lifecycle management.
• Exceptional communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of business law, contracting principles, and compliance standards is preferred.
• Experience in building or improving contract management processes.
• Experience with Ironclad or similar CLM systems is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management capabilities.
• A business-oriented mindset with the ability to support strategic decision-making.
• Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Availability to be in the NYC office 4 days a week.
