Do you want to work with dedicated, high skilled veterinary professionals?As an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician, you will help diagnose and treat ophthalmic diseases in companion animals. As an Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician, you will:Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic tests (tear quantity, glaucoma testing, ulcer testing) and help hold patients for detailed ocular examPerform advanced ophthalmic diagnostic testing (retinal electrical function, etc.)Set-up and assist with procedures and surgeries that restore comfort and vision ranging from outpatient procedures to basic and complex surgeriesOutpatient procedures: diamond burr debridement (to stimulate corneal healing), CO2 laser (to remove eyelid margin masses)Surgical procedures including eyelid surgeries, cherry eye surgery, corneal grafts, cataract surgery, retinal surgery, glaucoma surgeryFor patients undergoing sedation or anesthesia, place IV catheters and fluids, administer drugs through various routes, perform and monitor sedation/anesthesia (with advanced skills including constant rate infusions, paralytics, ventilation, etc.)Anesthesia training is available with help from our anesthesia specialistHelp organize and maintain specialized ophthalmic equipment and suppliesBe the frontline in educating clients on their pet's ocular disease and careWhy BluePearl?
