Registered Veterinary Technician

Tiger Tails Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $25-30 per hour, for each hour worked
• This is a flexible, full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating weekends

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Georgia
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
• Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Advanced dentistry, including dental prophylaxis and radiographs
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and cystocentesis
• Medication administration, including IV/IM injections and drug calculations
• Laboratory diagnostics, including sample collection and microscope evaluation
• Radiology, surgical assistance, and aseptic technique

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
