We’re seeking an Estate Planning Attorney who wants to develop a team and make a difference in our clients’ lives. You’ll continue to expand your existing book of business, built on solid client referrals and deeply-rooted local connections while servicing our new and existing clients.

Entering the position with a leadership mindset is essential to offer professional counsel in a wide range of estate planning matters – from preparation to administration to litigation (if needed).

Estate Planning Attorney Qualifications

• Actively licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of Estate Planning and Tax Law experience.
• Proficiency in designing complex Estate Planning packages that honor clients’ needs & wishes.
• Independently draft comprehensive estate and gift tax planning structures, corporate transactions, preferred partnership freezes, Family Limited Partnerships, ILITs, SLATS, charitable lead annuity trusts, intentionally defective irrevocable trusts, and tax-free reorganizations.
• Extensive experience in preparing and filing Federal Form 706 for Estate and Generation-Skipping Taxes, coordinating with clients and service providers (CPAs, Financial Advisors, Insurance Providers) to receive supporting documentation, and preparing and filing extensions where necessary.
• Complete confidence in preparing and filing Form 709 for United States Gift Taxes for transfers to individual donees, gifting trusts, generation-skipping trusts, etc., and ensure proper tax treatment with respect to cost basis, lifetime gifting exemptions, and split-gifts.
• Complete comfort with tracking and documenting your time electronically.
• Deeply passionate about communicating & engaging with clients, whether in-person or virtually.
• Bring exceptional legal research and writing skills with a strong analytical aptitude.
• Develop and implement efficient process systemization of drafting wills and trusts to train others.
• You’ll thrive in the role of building a strong and independent team that delivers exceptional results.
• Confidence in your presentation skills & natural ability to engage with clients with respect and integrity at all times.
