Overview
Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit) in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This travel nursing assignment starts on 09/21/2026 and runs for 16 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,580 to $1,672 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 2x3 Nights in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a medical step-down unit, with responsibilities including monitoring, assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring.
- Manage complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, and encephalopathy; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
- Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, identify changes in condition, and respond promptly to emergencies; document all care and interventions clearly in the chart.
- Perform procedures within the scope of a PCU RN, support admissions, discharges, and transfers, and coordinate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, case management, and internal medicine teams.
- Uphold patient safety, infection prevention, fall risk assessments, and pain management; educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (or eligible through state reciprocity/compact as applicable)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in progressive care/step-down or similar high-acuity unit
- Ability to work in a 16-bed medical step-down unit with patient-to-nurse ratios up to 1:4
- Nursing degree (Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing, or BSN) from an accredited program
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment
