Overview
Registered Nurse - PCU, travel assignment in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date 09/21/2026 for 16 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,281-$2,418 per week with guaranteed hours of 48 per week. Shift: 2x4 Nights. This hospital-based Progressive Care Unit role focuses on moderate to high-acuity medical patients. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to provide skilled nursing care and apply evidence-based practices on a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to PCU patients, including continuous monitoring, administering medications, starting IVs, and managing devices and telemetry.
- Perform regular patient assessments, interpret data, identify deteriorating conditions, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans and interventions.
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and communicate effectively with families and the care team.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit protocols; support discharge planning and patient education.
- Manage care for high-acuity medical conditions typical of PCU patients, such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy, within a 1:4 patient ratio.

Requirements
- Active registered nursing license in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a medical-step down/PCU or equivalent high-acuity environment
- Ability to work a night shift and participate in a travel assignment with the stated duration
- Demonstrated clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting
