Code 4 Private Security is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Downey, California.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, understands the importance of accuracy, and can be trusted with confidential company and financial information. This position plays an important role in keeping our financial records organized, accurate, and up to date.

• Maintain accurate and current financial records

• Record and categorize company financial transactions

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Process and track vendor invoices and payments

• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts

• Review transactions and identify discrepancies

• Assist with payroll reconciliation and payroll-related records

• Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, payments, and supporting documentation

• Track outstanding balances and follow up as necessary

• Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting

• Prepare financial documentation for management, accountants, and audits

• Verify invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy

• Communicate discrepancies or financial concerns to management

• Maintain strict confidentiality of company, employee, payroll, and financial information

• Perform additional bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred

• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Experience with bookkeeping or accounting software

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with management

• Must be dependable and able to handle sensitive financial information professionally

Experience with QuickBooks, ADP, payroll processing, payroll reconciliation, and Microsoft Excel is highly preferred.

$24.00 per hour
