Compensation

Pay Range: $31.21 - $49.94

Pay Rate Type: Hourly

Job Summary

This role involves managing activities related to women's services, overseeing workflow, and nursing resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and assess relevant health data to create and implement personalized care plans aimed at achieving measurable outcomes for women and newborns, focusing on family-centered care.
• Coordinate care delivery to enhance woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care within the defined scope of practice.
• Utilize health education strategies to promote, maintain, or restore health in a safe environment.
• Monitor progress towards expected outcomes in the context of family-centered care.
• Make ethical decisions and actions on behalf of women, fetuses, and newborns, guided by a solid ethical framework.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with women, families, healthcare providers, and the community to ensure safe and holistic care.
• Act as a role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor for women, families, healthcare consumers, and fellow professionals.
• Stay updated with current evidence-based nursing practices for women, newborns, and families.
• Integrate evidence to evaluate and enhance interprofessional knowledge and care approaches.
• Assess personal nursing practice and contribute to the evaluation of peers based on current evidence and professional standards.
• Consider resource factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility when planning care.
• Ensure environmentally safe practices in care delivery.
• Apply evidence-based practices to nursing care, tailored to the specific needs of patients.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety while performing duties.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Education

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent educational qualifications for licensing.

Experience

No prior experience is required.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly use speech for oral communication.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry.
• Regular use of vision for near and far distances, as well as color recognition.
• Frequent use of smell and hearing for communication and safety alerts.
• Occasional lifting/moving of patients and objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and other physical movements.
• Rarely required to crawl or run.

Required Professional Licenses and Certifications

• State of Work Location: Missouri
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration or Compact State
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent certifications (NRP, PALS)
