What You'll Do

As a Taper, you play a key role in the veneer manufacturing process — joining thin sheets of wood veneer with precision tape before they are bonded together in production.

• Apply tape to join thin veneer sheets so they stay secured and won't split during production
• Inspect veneer sheets for quality and specification conformance before taping
• Detect and report defective materials or quality issues to your supervisor
• Complete required production documentation accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety regulations
• Follow lockout/tagout and other prescribed safety procedures

You'll be stationed at one workstation — this is focused, hands-on work that rewards consistency and care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred — but not required to apply
• 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods at a stationary workstation
• Strong manual dexterity; close vision and color vision required
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
