HR Coordinator

ONLY APPLICANTS SELECTED FOR AN INTERVIEW WILL BE NOTIFIED Position Summary The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources department. Review the HRIS daily for new applicants, assess qualifications, and refer qualified applicants to supervisors for further consideration. Support employees with questions and concerns within the HRIS system. Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisors, and the public in a positive and professional manner. Maintain and update documentation in the HRIS system and files according to record retention guidelines; initiate IT requests and ensure data backup and retrieval. Answer incoming telephone calls, determine caller needs, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department. Provide impeccable customer service and demonstrate social perceptiveness; evaluate customer satisfaction and adapt service as needed. Manage departmental supplies, process purchase orders, reconcile monthly credit statements, and handle daily mail. Occasionally work a flexible schedule, including evenings or short-notice changes. Attend and represent the organization at job fairs to support recruitment efforts, as required. Handle high-volume lobby traffic and inbound phone activity while adapting to a dynamic environment. Maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Oversee and coordinate the Travel Reduction Program and monthly drawings in accordance with directives. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality per policy guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education and/or Experience One-year certificate from college or technical school; or two years of directly related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience is highly preferred. Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey business information and procedural manuals to employees and supervisors. Ability to provide communications bilingually to Spanish-speaking employees is required. Physical Demands Work is conducted in a dynamic, fast-paced office setting with moderate noise. The physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance, walking, talking, hearing, and using hands and vision to operate computers and office equipment.
