Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities in Resource Specialist Program (RSP) and Moderate to Severe Special Education classrooms
Assist students with academic instruction, classroom activities, and individualized education goals
Implement behavior intervention plans and reinforce positive behaviors
Support students with communication, social skills, and daily living skills as needed
Assist with toileting, feeding, mobility, and other personal care tasks when required
Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success
Collect data on student progress and behavior when requested
Qualifications
Associate's degree or higher, or the ability to pass the Paraprofessional Exam within 60 days of your start date
Experience working with children is preferred
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is highly valued, whether in a school, clinic, hospital, in-home setting, or through caring for a close family member
Ability to remain patient, dependable, and flexible while working with students with varying support needs
