The Opportunity Boulder Associates is seeking a proactive and service-oriented IT Help Desk Support Specialist II to provide onsite and remote technical support for users in our Sacramento office, as well as firmwide. The Role The IT Help Desk Support Specialist II will serve as a trusted resource for approximately 40–50 local users and more than 200 employees across nine U.S. offices. The role combines hands‑on desktop support with firmwide collaboration and proactive problem-solving. Responsibilities Provide Level 2 support for Windows, O365, and Autodesk products. Troubleshoot and resolve help desk tickets through Zendesk. Support computer imaging, hardware setup, and account management. Collaborate on system upgrades, network support, and office moves. Hands‑on experience supporting VMware vSphere environments, such as vCenter, ESXi, VM provisioning, host maintenance, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. Deliver exceptional customer service with clear, proactive communication. What You Will Bring 2+ years of desktop support and troubleshooting experience. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliability, accountability, and urgency in resolving issues. Ability to work independently and within a distributed team. Preferred Certifications (Microsoft 365, CompTIA A+, VMware, Fortinet). Experience in AEC or professional services environments. Familiarity with Autodesk, Bluebeam, and related design tools. The anticipated salary range for this role is $70,000-$75,000+ depending on experience and location.
