Temporary appointments may be full‑ or part‑time and are often made close to the start of an academic term. The Fall term runs mid‑August to late‑December; the Spring term runs mid‑January to mid‑May. Summer sessions may also be available. Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, renewable contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continued availability. We welcome candidates with expertise or experience in the following areas: Postsecondary Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Leadership Studies, and Rehabilitation Counseling Qualifications Criteria Applicants must possess either a terminal degree or a degree relevant to teaching in the advertised position. Applicants must have at least one year of paid and/or volunteer teaching experience. Applicants must also hold relevant practice experience related to the advertised teaching position. Salary Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new appointees are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank at the beginning of the range.
