Relationship building is paramount in what we do every day for both our team and our customers.Schwieters Companies is hiring a full-time Material Handler to join our team (internally called a Prefinish Material Handler).If you are looking for an opportunity to advance with a growing company and enjoy seeing the beauty of craftsmanship come to life, this is the company for you.Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare all material before loading onto shortlineLoad/unload material properly onto/off the shortlineAccountable for the product and assembly you are working onPick material using a stand/sit forkliftManage orders to be completed in full and on timeUse a scanner gun to check inventory and properly adjust material locationsInspect all material for qualityStand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shiftHave constant communication with department lead on progress with work ordersWork together with a team throughout the warehouse to achieve maximum efficiency with 100% complete and on-time deliveriesQualificationsPrevious material handler or warehouse experienceComfortable learning to operate a forkliftCandidate must have a good work historyAble to lift 50 poundsSelf-motivated, self-directed team player and team builderAble to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions, have good communication skills (verbal and written), and be detail orientedCapable of standing for extended periods of timeFlexible in working overtime when necessaryBenefitsMedical/Dental – Monthly premiums are paid by the companyPaid Time OffHoliday pay401(k) with a 3% company matchPaid weeklyEarly wage access programLife, Accident, and Vision insuranceWork ScheduleMonday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm, overtime as needed (1st shift)Pay$20 /hr.
