Locartion: Manati, PR - On Site

Position Summary

Project Manager responsible for leading energy and cogeneration projects within a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Manatí, Puerto Rico. The role will oversee project execution from planning and design through construction, commissioning, startup, and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable pharmaceutical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead cogeneration, energy generation, and utility infrastructure projects within a pharmaceutical facility.

• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, and execution plans.

• Coordinate engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.

• Manage internal stakeholders, contractors, engineering firms, and equipment vendors.

• Monitor CAPEX, project costs, change orders, and budget performance.

• Coordinate projects involving power generation, electrical systems, utilities, and energy infrastructure.

• Ensure project execution aligns with pharmaceutical manufacturing, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.

• Lead project documentation, status reporting, change management, and closeout activities.

• Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness of completed energy systems.

General Requirements

• Proven experience managing energy, power generation, cogeneration, or utility infrastructure projects.

• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management.

• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, engineering teams, and site stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple project activities in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.

• English and Spanish proficiency preferred.

• Ability to work full-time, on-site in Manatí, Puerto Rico.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical field.

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in energy, utilities, power generation, cogeneration, or industrial infrastructure projects.

• Experience managing CAPEX projects from conceptual/design phases through construction, commissioning, and startup.

• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, industrial, or other highly regulated environments preferred.

• Experience with energy/utility systems, electrical infrastructure, or cogeneration projects strongly preferred.
