Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: Full Time Days (8AM-5PM). Monday-Friday. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required). Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, or related healthcare field (Preferred). 1 year staff development or adult education experience (Required). 3 years clinical experience, including 2 years in area of specialty or 2 years in the Clinical Education department (Required). Registered Nurse (RN) (Required). Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; verbal and written communication skills in English. Current knowledge of professional and healthcare issues and nursing practice. Well‑organized and tech‑savvy. Familiarity with utilizing a Learning Management System. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement clinical skill/competency solutions for units, departments, or systems, especially in high‑risk/low‑volume activities. Implement clinical skills solutions for changes in practice, including documentation. Develop and implement onboarding, transition residency, clinical academic placement, continuing education, and safety training programs across the organization. Assist clinical staff in adopting new practices on the unit. Provide clinical coaching to staff to drive adoption of new tools. Serve as a clinical skill development consultant to management: identify needs, evaluate and monitor competency programs, life support programs, onboarding, student placement, and continuing education. Participate in root‑cause analysis, board of nursing investigation practices, Unit Based Councils, and NCAP committees as appropriate. Maintain documentation for clinical competencies and support accreditation readiness. Collaborate with coordinators to ensure proper storage and tracking of competency records. Communicate regularly with clinical teams and leadership to assess satisfaction, identify gaps, and troubleshoot educational challenges. Build relationships across departments to foster a culture of learning and excellence. Translate current research and standards of practice into comprehensive education plans for targeted healthcare professions and disciplines. Design content aligned with business priorities and key performance indicators. Develop and implement clinical skills solutions aligned with functional and discipline‑specific competencies. Create engaging e‑learning aligned with adult learning principles. Facilitate onboarding, transition residency, and other events as a master trainer in documentation, competency, policies, and practices. Build a pool of local SMEs and utilize SMEs in content delivery for specific practices. Consult on system‑level changes, such as policy and practice changes and root‑cause analysis.
