The nurse will float between units based on patient care needs. The role entails caring for women of childbearing years and newborns. Expectations include managing high-risk deliveries and providing antepartum care. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring fetal heart rates and conducting assessments. They will need to administer medications related to pregnancy and labor management. Knowledge and skills in administering blood products, delivering care during labor, and postpartum care are essential. The position involves working weekends every other weekend. The nurse must possess critical thinking and strong communication skills. Flexibility in shift scheduling is required. The role includes participation in unit-specific procedures and protocols. Nurses will be expected to adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
