job summary: Seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer for a high growth chemical manufacturing client in the Piscataway, NJ area. The Sr Mechanical Engineer would be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components. This role requires deep technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and cross-functional collaboration to support product performance, manufacturing efficiency, and innovation. Full W-2 benefits including exceptional bonus potential! location: Piscataway, New Jersey job type: Permanent salary: $110,000 - 140,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Full-Lifecycle Mechanical Design: Lead design, material selection, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems from concept through commercial production. Plant Operations & Capital Projects: Drive facility expansions, utility tie-ins, equipment layouts, and commissioning while maintaining alignment with core plant processes and P&IDs. Technical Leadership & Industry Standards: Mentor junior engineers, develop IP, and establish best practices in accordance with industry codes (e.g., ASME, ASTM). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless design implementation and vendor integration. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and optimization initiatives to improve product reliability and cost-efficiency.
