Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 26-week contract in an echocardiography laboratory setting, requiring RDCS or CCI certification and a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Details

• Full-time position in a hospital echocardiography laboratory
• Performs routine and complex echocardiographic sonography imaging procedures for a cardiac patient population
• Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
• Rotational weekend shifts required
• Holiday coverage is negotiable
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Echo Tech experience
• Associate's Degree in Ultrasound required
• Current RDCS (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (CCI) certification required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Strong documentation skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing and overseeing echocardiographic imaging procedures, critiquing image quality, reviewing patient data for accuracy and completeness, and assisting physicians and sonographers in delivering high-quality exams
• Cross-training to other divisions of Cardiovascular Services is expected
• Candidates who have previously been on assignment with this health system for 1 year or more must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any facility within the system
• RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Interviews are conducted by the facility leader prior to selection
