Billing Clerk

The Billing Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely generation, review, and distribution of customer invoices. This role supports the billing team by maintaining billing records, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with company policies and customer contract terms.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely invoicing, sending invoices, and verifying PO's
• Completes invoicing from the SNI (Shipped Not Invoiced report)
• Reviews revenue recognition before invoicing, including PO, Proof of Shipment, POD, Order Confirmation, and Shipping Documents
• Prepare timely and accurate client billing daily, monthly.
• Ensure billing cycles are managed efficiently and accurately.
• Knowledge of portal submission procedures and portal customer expectations, Open Invoice, Ariba, Oildex
• Respond to billing-related inquiries from clients and internal teams
• Address and resolve escalations
• Ability to work independently and complete daily tasks
• Aid as required to the entire AR & Cash app team
• Run daily PBI (Power BI Report) for SNI as well as NAV SNI Report
• Ensures back up documentation uploaded to BC for revenue recognition and invoicing.
• Runs PBI reports to send to Warehouse, Managers, Controllers for assistance in missing backup
• Other responsibilities as needed and assigned

Skills/Knowledge

• Must have Microsoft Office, accounting systems, spreadsheet knowledge.
• Experience with Excel and Windows-based programs.
• Experience in performing tasks that require a basic understanding of accounting and math skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Working under SOX compliance controls.
• Preferred previous experience with high volume invoicing.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 1-3 years of accounting / clerical experience / billing experience
