The James is seeking passionate and skilled Line Cooks to join our team!

Pay Range: $20-$26

The James is a neighborhood restaurant offering classic American fare in the heart of James Island , Charleston. With a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, The James serves familiar, comforting dishes with genuine hospitalitycreating a welcoming community space that guests love to return to. Locally operated by The Neighborhood Dining Group the team behind acclaimed restaurants like Husk , Delaney Oyster House , Minero , and Marbled & Fin The James upholds a culture rooted in quality, service, and people-first leadership.

Who We're Looking For:

You are passionate, professional, and committed to teamworksomeone who thrives in a high-performing kitchen and brings energy to every service. This is an opportunity to work in a chef-driven kitchen committed to quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:

Execute dishes with precision, speed, and attention to detail
Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station throughout service
Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver a seamless and elevated guest experience
Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
Take pride in your work and bring professionalism to every shift

What You'll Bring:

1+ year of experience in a high-volume, high-quality kitchen
Focused, dependable, and driven to learn
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a team-first mindset
Committed to excellence in technique, cleanliness, and communication
