Position Overview Rodman & Renshaw is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join our New York office. The Associate will play a key role in the execution of capital markets and advisory transactions while overseeing financial analyses, preparing client presentations, coordinating due diligence, and supporting senior bankers throughout the deal process. This role also includes mentoring Analysts, managing transaction workstreams, participating in client interactions, and contributing to business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Execute equity offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic advisory transactions from inception through closing. Develop, review, and oversee complex financial models, including valuation analyses, comparable company analyses, precedent transactions, DCF analyses, merger models, and other financial analyses. Prepare and review high-quality pitch books, marketing materials, board materials, management presentations, and transaction documentation. Lead company, industry, and market research to support transaction execution, client engagements, and new business development initiatives. Perform financial and operational due diligence while coordinating transaction execution with internal teams, clients, legal counsel, auditors, investors, and other advisors. Analyze market trends, industry developments, and capital markets activity to provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients. Manage multiple transaction workstreams independently while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution across live transactions. Mentor and oversee Investment Banking Analysts by reviewing work product, providing guidance, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Participate in client meetings and presentations while supporting senior bankers in managing client relationships throughout the transaction process. Develop and maintain strong client relationships while supporting senior bankers in originating new business opportunities and expanding existing client engagements. Preferred Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in Investment Banking, M&A, Private Placements, Equity Capital Markets, Equity Research, or a related field. Strong financial modeling, valuation, finance, and accounting skills. Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, FactSet, Capital IQ (CapIQ), Bloomberg, PitchBook, or similar financial databases. Strong analytical, project management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Resourceful, intellectually curious, proactive, and eager to take on increasing responsibility. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, client-facing environment. Experience covering Life Sciences, Healthcare, Biotechnology, or MedTech transactions is a plus. Basic Qualifications Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, financial statement analysis, and accounting principles. Advanced financial modeling and transaction execution experience. SIE Exam, FINRA Series 79, and Series 63 must be acquired Work Location Currently, this role is expected to be in the New York office 5 days per week. Annual base salary of $100K – $125K. The base salary represents the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
