Job Summary

The Training & Development Specialist provides hands-on coordination, administration, and ongoing support for learning and development programs across Roers Companies. This role manages the day-to-day details that support effective program delivery, including scheduling, communications, materials, tracking, reporting, and learning systems. The Specialist facilitates assigned components of New Hire Orientation and supports the coordination and delivery of onboarding and other in-person and virtual training programs. The role also applies instructional design and adult learning principles to develop and maintain engaging learning content, including eLearning, presentations, job aids, facilitator resources, and other learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer learning and development programs, including scheduling, logistics, communications, materials, attendance, tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
• Facilitate assigned components of New Hire Orientation and support the coordination and delivery of the broader onboarding experience.
• Facilitate in-person and virtual training programs for team members and leaders.
• Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to design, develop, and improve learning experiences based on identified needs and desired outcomes.
• Develop and maintain learning content in a variety of formats, including eLearning, presentations, facilitator guides, job aids, videos, and other learning resources.
• Partner with subject matter experts to gather content and translate information into clear, practical, and engaging learning experiences.
• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, assignments, learner records, completion tracking, and reporting.
• Provide ongoing coordination and administrative support for leadership development, coaching, assessments, and other development initiatives.
• Collect and track participation, completion, and evaluation data to support program effectiveness and continuous improvement.
• Support additional Human Resources projects and priorities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education 

• Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field preferred. 

Experience and/or Training  

• 2+ years of experience in learning and development, training, instructional design, program coordination, or a related field.
• Experience facilitating in-person and/or virtual training.
• Experience designing and developing training materials or learning content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience working with learning technology or an LMS.
• Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360/Rise or similar tools preferred.

Compensation and Benefits fora Training & Development Specialist:

Pay Range: $53,000 - $69,200

Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role.
