Software Engineer 5 - Partner Test Tech

Overview The Partner Test Tech Team ensures high-quality Netflix experience on smart TVs and set-top devices by building and maintaining device automation and infrastructure. Responsibilities Identify and implement solutions to improve testing efficiency for software releases. Improve developer experience and change-velocity in JavaScript repositories. Drive the shape of the testing pyramid and efficient coding patterns in test automation. Ensure diversity and stability across an in-house CE device fleet using data‑driven approaches. Gather and analyze metrics with internal teams to identify trends and opportunities for lower‑cost testing. Qualifications Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python with experience in automation frameworks. Experience working with consumer electronic devices. AI‑native mindset: use AI to drive improvements and efficiency. Experience implementing CI/CD systems and operating production services. Strong emphasis on developer productivity and experience. Leadership experience on large‑scale projects and cross‑functional teams. Growth mindset: eagerness to learn continuously. Experience with web technologies including network protocols and AWS services. Experience developing novel solutions to complex problems using existing tools. Experience leading AI initiatives for software development and validation. Experience with graphics and video streaming technologies. Benefits & Compensation Base salary in the range $388,000.00 - $558,000.00.
