Speech Language Pathologist - SLP

MLee Medical Employment

Empower Communication Across All Ages in the Scenic Beauty of Georgia - Join Us as a Speech Language Pathologist

Overview

Imagine a career that truly gives voice to your purpose. As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled in one of Georgia's most picturesque settings, you won't just address communication and swallowing challenges; you will unlock the doors to potential, rebuild confidence, and forge connections that span the entire lifespan. Picture toddlers articulating their first sounds and seniors regaining their independence - that's the difference you can make.

Here lies an exceptional opportunity to work with diverse populations, serving individuals from childhood through older adulthood in a unique blend of outpatient therapy with some inpatient support. No matter if your expertise leans toward pediatric language development, adult cognitive-communication disorders, or the intricacies of geriatric rehabilitation, you'll find both satisfaction and flexibility in your role.

Description
  • Conduct patient evaluations across a spectrum of age groups, employing standardized assessments coupled with observational strategies.
  • Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognitive functions, or swallowing abilities.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language fluency, vocal skills, and swallowing proficiency.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate holistic care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources and training to patients and their families to promote progress beyond the therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally support inpatient therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring smooth continuity throughout each patient's recovery journey.
  • Keep precise documentation in line with relevant state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in speech therapy through ongoing education and teamwork.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Skills
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based treatment options across all age groups with a thorough grasp of developmental and acquired disorders of speech, language, and swallowing.
  • Outstanding communication skills to interact effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Capability to tailor therapy methods to fit the unique cultural and linguistic backgrounds of patients.
  • Sound clinical assessment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and adherence to documentation standards.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary reflective of experience.
  • Flexible scheduling to promote a healthy work-life balance and varied patient caseloads.
  • Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
  • Financial support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • A collaborative atmosphere focused on delivering high-quality care and lifelong learning.

A Career that Inspires and Moves Forward

In this role, you'll not only deliver speech therapy - you will become part of a mission-driven community dedicated to restoring voices and fostering human connection. Here, you'll find camaraderie among clinicians who consider each other family, working in an environment that champions collaboration and mutual support. Every patient has a story; you'll be entrusted to help in crafting their narrative.

Who We Are Looking For

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is fueled by a commitment to empathy and outcomes. Someone who sees potential where others may not; who can listen to the quiet voice of a child and envision a vivid future of communication, who hears the struggles of a patient and senses resilience waiting to flourish.

You may be a pediatric expert wishing to delve into the realms of adult services - or a clinician specialized in neuro-rehabilitation who is excited to introduce pediatric interventions into your practice.

Whatever your specialty, if you are ready to lead with compassion and advance with skill, we are excited to welcome you into our nurturing team.

Let's Find the Right Words Together

If you share the belief that speech transcends mere sound - if you understand that therapy is about trust as much as techniques, and laughter is a vital language - this could very well be the next chapter in your professional narrative.

Join a community that celebrates the beauty of communication, the magic of connection, and the courage it takes to embark on new journeys. Your voice is essential; together, let's inspire others to discover theirs.
